About Us

The story so far...

Simon began his journey by studying Wildlife Conservation in University. This really opened his eyes to the benefits of being in nature and encouraging diversity in ecology, this is very evident in his garden design today.

He started his career as a gardener in Oxford, looking after the famous gardens of Christ Church College. From here he worked for several garden maintenance companies across Oxfordshire including Nicholson's Nursery, gaining experience in all aspects of horticulture from planting, to hedge pruning and fruit tree care.

Simon gained his RHS level 2 qualification at Pershore College increasing his knowledge of plants and plant care. Using his experience and qualifications he took on a role of managing a large private estate in Northamptonshire. This helped develop his ability to keep a garden looking its best all year round and sparked his creative side through designing new borders and planting plans.

It became clear to Simon that it was time to take the next step and ‘Simon Griffiths Gardens’ the company was born, and now manages a whole array of gardens across Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.

On top of this Simon achieved a Diploma in Garden Design (Distinction) from the Cotswold Gardening School and can provide a full redesign of your outdoor space to really bring it to life and will give year-round enjoyment.

Once a new garden has been designed and built, Simon and the team will be happy to provide and undertake a maintenance plan going forward.
